Who We Are
Massachusetts Marine Educators (MME) is a dynamic, grass roots organization of teachers, informal educators, students, educational institutions, and others. Our goal is to develop a marine literate society and promote awareness of the ocean world by integrating marine studies into existing curricula.

🦞 Happy National Lobster Day! 🦞
Young lobsters live in rocky, coastal areas where they can find food and hide from predators. Adult lobsters are more migratory, staying coastal during the summer and venturing to deeper waters in the winter.

Our #OceanAtHome resources are recommended by our members...educators like you who work in marine and aquatic education to promote Ocean Literacy! Take a look at our first resource, shared by Emily Davenport, Education & Outreach Lead at @ecogig: The Adventures of Zack & Molly!
The Adventures of Zack and Molly is a four-part video series (part five is coming in early 2021!) about an unlikely duo exploring the deep ocean produced by ECOGIG in collaboration with Sherman's Lagoon creator and filmmaker Jim Toomey.

While the story focuses on California, it's relevant on all coasts. This pandemic has definitely changed the way we do coastal clean ups, but that doesn't mean we still can't do a version of them!
